I am the wife of Chief Robert Scott and the mother of Firefighter/EMT Alexander Trautman of West Thurston Regional Fire Authority in Washington state.
Since 1984, I have been involved in some aspect of emergency services in Thurston County. I started out with law enforcement as a Reserve Police Officer in the towns of Yelm, Rainier and Tenino, and also for the Thurston County Sheriff's Office. I worked for 14 years with Thurston County 9-1-1 (CAPCOM) where I trained my Chief husband while he was "just a pup". I also worked as a Department Assistant for the Olympia and Lacey Police Departments and then as Records Manager and Evidence Technician. In 1999, I began taking photos of my husband teaching at the Washington State Fire Training Consortium. These photos were used for the firefighters graduation from the academy and in the historical records for their departments.
